Whether it's for dairy-related business, Visitors' Day at the prison, or Spring Conference, there are only a couple of viable transportation options available when traveling to Corcoran, California. These options are driving and taking the train.

Driving is the option that most delegations choose. There is plenty of room for parking cars, vans, charter buses, and school buses in the Corcoran YMCA's large parking lot. All parking in Corcoran is free.

If you're in Southern California and you need a last-minute charter bus, consider Inland Empire Stages. They usually have a couple of buses on reserve for YMCA use. To inquire about an Inland Empire bus, contact kip@ymcatravel.org.

If you're in Northern or Central California, please try Orange Belt Stages (http://www.orangebelt.com/). They serve the Central Valley regularly, and they're used to working with YMCAs (they provide shuttle buses to local summer camps).

Amtrak Train transportation is another great option for getting to Corcoran. It is much more relaxing and enjoyable than sitting on a bus for hours, and depending on the size of your delegation, it may be very cost-effective, too. Train cars have plenty of room for delegates to walk around and hang out, and they also have food and beverages for purchase on board.

The Amtrak station in Corcoran isn't far from the YMCA, so we can assist you with shuttling your delegation from the train to the YMCA. If you'll be traveling via Amtrak, you must let Kip know as soon as possible, so he can help arrange shuttles. You can contact Kip via email at kip@ymcatravel.org or phone at 951-830-4782.

Still need a ride? Youth & Government highly encourages everyone to carpool as often as possible. Between the hundreds of people that attend Spring Conference from all over the state, there are always dozens of unfilled seats. Most delegations and volunteers are happy to share a ride, but you have to let us know ahead of time. If you're looking for a ride, send an email to rideshare@ymcatravel.org.
